EcoReality Sustainable Land Use and Education Cooperative is
seeking member-investors in its 43 acre site on beautiful Salt Spring Island. We are in growing zone 8+. Our Class 2 soils are irrigated via a 17 acre-foot license on one of our two streams. We are sandwiched between a 60 acre community farm, an 83 acre organic heritage beef farm, and provincial parkland that protects the source of our two streams. We have been incorporated as a co-op for three years, and have most finance, ownership, and governance issues worked out.
We are primarily seeking those who have about half the value of a typical North American suburban house to invest in their sustainable future. This will enable us to retire our debt, so we can focus on growing food, rather than making bankers rich. Others with outstanding qualifications but less financial resource are welcome to get involved, as well.
